Director, Social Media

EVERSANA seeks a Director of Social Media to lead strategic digital presence and community engagement for our Chicago-based marketing agency. In this remote, full-time leadership role, you'll direct social media strategy, team performance, and client success across platforms.

About This Position

This director-level position owns end-to-end social media strategy and execution for EVERSANA's marketing agency operations. You'll oversee brand voice, campaign performance, team development, and client relationships while driving measurable results across all major social platforms. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on collaboration, requiring both big-picture vision and attention to implementation excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with client objectives and market opportunities
• Lead a team of social media professionals, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management
• Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring content quality, posting consistency, and community engagement standards
• Monitor social analytics, report on key performance indicators, and optimize campaigns for maximum reach and conversion
• Collaborate with creative, copywriting, and account teams to deliver integrated campaigns across paid and organic channels
• Stay current with platform algorithm changes, emerging trends, and industry best practices
• Present strategy recommendations and performance results to clients and internal stakeholders

What You Bring

• 5+ years of social media management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or director-level position
• Proven track record managing budgets, campaigns, and teams that deliver measurable business results
• Deep expertise across major platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, and emerging channels
• Strong understanding of paid social advertising, organic content strategy, and community management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and present to clients
• Experience with social media analytics tools and data-driven decision making
• Ability to lead, inspire, and develop team members in a fast-paced agency environment
