About the Role
The Director of Communications at Ava Labs will own all strategic communications for the organization, from public messaging to stakeholder engagement. You'll develop and execute communications strategies that advance Ava Labs' mission in blockchain technology and build the company's reputation as an innovation leader in Web3.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategy and messaging framework
- Lead media relations, including press releases, media pitches, and journalist engagement
- Direct internal communications to align employees with company strategy and culture
- Oversee content strategy and thought leadership across all channels
- Manage crisis communications and reputation matters
- Lead the communications team and partner with leadership across the company
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the blockchain and investment community
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years leading communications functions, ideally in technology, finance, or blockchain sectors
- Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic communications programs
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities; skilled at explaining complex topics to different audiences
- Experience building and managing communications teams
- Knowledge of blockchain, Web3, or cryptocurrency markets—or demonstrated ability to master technical domains quickly
- Strong media relations and public affairs experience
- Track record of protecting and enhancing organizational reputation
