Position Summary
Direct Care Workers at Merry Care form the heart of our person-centered support services. In this full-time position, you'll work directly with clients throughout Grand Traverse County who need dependable assistance with essential daily tasks. Whether helping someone maintain personal care standards or providing companionship during important outings, you'll make a real, visible difference in people's lives every day.
Core Duties
- Assist clients with personal care including bathing, grooming, shaving, dressing, and hygiene maintenance
- Provide steady companionship and emotional support during daily interactions
- Support clients with errands such as grocery shopping and appointments with healthcare providers
- Help with light housekeeping including dishes, laundry, and vacuuming
- Monitor client conditions and communicate relevant observations to supervisors
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records
- Uphold respect, dignity, and person-centered values in all client interactions

- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with clients and team members
