DevOps Engineer for Payment (m/f/d)

Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia is seeking a DevOps Engineer for Payment to join our remote team, based from Košice, Košice Region, Slovakia. This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled infrastructure engineer who excels in cloud-native environments and payment systems.

About This Position

We're seeking a dedicated DevOps Engineer to manage, scale, and secure the infrastructure behind our payment solutions. You'll architect and maintain systems that handle critical financial transactions, working with modern cloud technologies and automation frameworks. This role combines infrastructure strategy with hands-on technical execution, ideal for someone passionate about reliable, scalable payment systems.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for payment services deployment
• Manage cloud infrastructure and containerised applications using Kubernetes
• Develop infrastructure as code solutions with tools such as Terraform
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
• Work alongside development teams to support smooth releases and operational stability
• Establish security controls and ensure compliance with payment industry standards
• Respond rapidly to production issues and drive root cause resolution

Qualifications

• Professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or systems administration
• Demonstrated expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong knowledge of containerisation and container orchestration systems
• Experience automating infrastructure and managing configuration at scale
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and modern development workflows
• Understanding of payment processing systems and financial transaction flows
• Ability to diagnose complex technical problems and implement solutions
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
