About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential biopharmaceutical services organization seeking a Senior Clinical Trial Manager for their Latin America region. This remote position supports clinical development projects with a focus on site management, monitoring oversight, and compliance across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, with USA-scope protocol responsibilities.
The role is ideal for an experienced clinical professional who has led site teams, managed monitoring strategies, and ensured protocol execution across international markets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee site management from activation through closeout, including patient recruitment coordination and investigator payments
- Lead clinical monitoring and central monitoring deliverables with focus on patient safety, GCP compliance, and data integrity
- Develop and maintain clinical study tools including the Clinical Monitoring Plan and ensure proper CTMS and dashboard setup
- Review protocol scope, budget, and contractual obligations; escalate risks to timelines, quality, or budget to project management
- Serve as escalation point for investigator site communications and may accompany CRAs for site observation or conflict resolution
- Coordinate with Study Start Up, Patient Recruitment, and Data Management teams to meet enrollment targets and database lock timelines
- Provide initial and ongoing training to study teams on protocol requirements, CRF completion, SOPs, and data plans
- Oversee resourcing allocations for CRAs and Central Monitors, including site assignments and performance quality
- Review monitoring documentation (visit reports, site letters, central monitoring reports) to ensure quality standards and timely delivery
- Monitor project dashboards and clinical trial systems (CTMS, EDC, ePRO, TMF, IVRS/IWRS) to track site and patient activities
- Support inspection readiness activities and corrective action plans at site and study level
- Participate in and present at key meetings such as Kick Off Meetings
- Provide status updates and solutions to clients and leadership regarding clinical deliverables and protocol execution obstacles
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or RN in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Demonstrated expertise in site management and clinical or central monitoring
- Proven ability to lead and align teams in achieving project milestones in an international environment
- Experience with risk-based monitoring strategies preferred
- Understanding of clinical trial financial principles and budget management
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH Guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for interactions with project teams and sites
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills with ability to apply risk management approaches
- Critical thinking capability to identify root causes and develop appropriate solutions for complex issues
- Proficiency with computer systems and clinical trial technology platforms
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% as needed
- Fluency in English required; Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred for Latin America scope
