Our client is an established agency working with recognizable enterprise and consumer brands. You'll architect foundational systems that power dynamic, large-scale digital experiences, leveraging deep WordPress expertise to build robust, scalable solutions with modern PHP and sophisticated Gutenberg architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build enterprise-level WordPress solutions, developing high-performance plugins and themes with modern PHP and sophisticated Gutenberg blocks in React.js
• Define back-end technical vision and strategy for large-scale projects, making critical decisions on architecture, performance, and scalability
• Provide expert code reviews that champion code quality, security, and maintainability
• Solve complex performance and caching challenges, transforming slow systems into fast, resilient platforms capable of handling millions of visitors
• Create tools and systems that power digital experiences for a global audience
• Lead technical discussions and translate business needs into powerful technical solutions

What We're Looking For

• Expert-level mastery in modern PHP and sophisticated understanding of the Gutenberg ecosystem
• Portfolio or GitHub demonstrating real-world WordPress code that shows your ability to build elegant, scalable solutions
• Strategic communication skills and comfort leading technical discussions with stakeholders
• Extensive Git workflow experience and proven ability to debug and optimize complex systems
• Track record of thriving on distributed teams and delivering exceptional results remotely
• Ability to establish development patterns and best practices that elevate team output
