About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential retail organization seeking an experienced Fullstack Developer with strong Java and Vue.js expertise (backend focus) for a mission-critical project in Metz, France. Our client is modernizing their in-store payment solutions, and this role will be central to ensuring technical excellence, security, and long-term maintainability of their applications.

As a consultant placed through Get A Job.ai, you will lead the technical modernization of existing systems while championing best practices in software development, automated testing, code coverage, and proactive security management throughout the entire software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Modernize codebases with focus on security and technology updates (Java, Spring Boot, third-party libraries)
• Create comprehensive automated test suites and produce detailed code coverage reports
• Apply security patches and proactively resolve identified vulnerabilities
• Write thorough technical documentation, refactoring reports, and update design schemas
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines by integrating quality control tools for improved efficiency
• Ensure robustness, security, and maintainability across all application components

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• 3–7 years of experience in Fullstack development with Java and Vue.js (backend-dominant)
• Strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Vue.js
• DevOps experience including CI/CD practices and advanced Git usage
• Bachelor's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or university in computer science, or equivalent professional experience
• Fluency in French is required for this position

Valued Skills:

• Knowledge of software craftsmanship principles, SOLID, YAGNI, and testing practices with Sonar
• Commitment to continuous improvement and application evolution
• Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Background in retail or large-scale distribution sectors is a significant advantage
