About the Role

As Construction Safety Manager for The H&K Group, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs that protect our workforce and ensure every project exceeds industry safety standards. Working alongside project teams and leadership, you'll use current best practices and rigorous enforcement protocols to maintain a zero-incident mindset. This position requires a proactive, hands-on approach to identifying risks, preventing incidents, and fostering a workplace culture where safety is every team member's priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans aligned with project requirements and regulatory standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across active job sites
• Lead safety training and toolbox talks to keep workers informed and engaged
• Document incidents, near-misses, and safety metrics; provide actionable recommendations for improvement
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, federal, state, and local safety requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and contractors to resolve safety concerns promptly
• Investigate accidents and root causes to prevent recurrence

Requirements

• OSHA 30-hour card or equivalent construction safety certification required
• Minimum 3–5 years of construction safety management experience
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to train and motivate teams
• Proficiency with safety management software and documentation systems
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
