Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team at Pact ELMO in Invercargill. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives within the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in developing daily living skills and enhancing their independence
- Support clients in accessing community resources and services
- Facilitate social activities that promote inclusion and interaction with peers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
Skills & Qualifications
- A passion for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Basic understanding of disability support services (not mandatory but advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (if applicable)
