What This Role Involves

At Help at Hand Support Services, we are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team. The role involves providing a person-centred approach and ensuring the well-being of individuals with disabilities. Your daily routine will be tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, which can vary from day to day. You might assist in activities such as personal care, meal preparation, transportation, or engaging in social outings.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene and daily living tasks
• Providing emotional support and companionship
• Facilitating social integration through community activities
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at all times
• Documenting client progress and communication with relevant parties

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year experience in disability support or related field
• A strong commitment to person-centred care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle (if required for the role)
