Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kaiawhina to support tāngata whaiora in New Zealand (nationwide) (nationwide). This role involves hands-on assistance in daily routines, promoting independence and community participation for those we support.
What You'll Do
- Support tāngata whaiora with daily living tasks and personal care needs.
- Foster an environment that encourages the development of independent living skills.
- Facilitate engagement in community activities, cultural events, and social outings.
- Collaborate closely with Kaitātaki (Team Leader) to ensure consistent support practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience or willingness to undergo training as a Kaiawhina.
- Acknowledgment of the importance of cultural values and respect for Māori tikanga.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with tāngata whaiora, their families, and community partners.
