About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Kaiāwhina, you will provide support and advocacy for individuals with intellectual and physical impairments, ensuring their needs are met within a culturally safe environment that respects and honours Māori values.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients in daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support
• Facilitate social interactions and community engagement to enhance the quality of life for our clients
• Develop and maintain individualised support plans that align with each client's unique needs and goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for our clients
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and progress made by clients

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a relevant qualification such as a Diploma in Disability Support Services or equivalent experience. Knowledge of Māori culture, values, and tikanga is highly desirable.
