Communications Specialist

Hosparus Group seeks a Communications Specialist to join our team in Louisville, Jefferson County. This full-time position offers a Monday-Friday schedule (8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) supporting both internal and external communications that advance our mission and strengthen community engagement.

The Opportunity

As Communications Specialist at Hosparus Group, you'll develop and execute multi-channel communication strategies that connect our organization with employees, patients, and the broader Louisville community. Your work will amplify our brand voice across digital, print, and media platforms, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging that reflects our values and organizational goals. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and creativity, giving you the chance to make a direct impact on how we tell our story.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and distribute engaging content for website, social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and print materials
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and develop messaging for employee communications and announcements
• Manage media relations, pitch stories to journalists, and respond to media inquiries
• Develop graphics, layouts, and visual materials—or collaborate with design partners—to enhance communications
• Monitor and report on communication effectiveness, using metrics to refine future campaigns
• Support special projects, events, and initiatives with promotional and descriptive materials

Qualifications

• Proven experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop content for diverse audiences and platforms
• Proficiency with content management systems, Microsoft Office, and basic design or social media tools
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is a plus
