LaunchDarkly is hiring a Solutions Architect for its Professional Services organization to serve customers across the United States on a full-time basis. In this customer-focused technical role, you'll guide enterprise teams through implementing AI-powered applications and modern software delivery using LaunchDarkly's platform.

What This Role Involves

Solutions Architects at LaunchDarkly bridge the gap between customer needs and technical implementation. You'll work directly with customer engineering and platform teams to architect and build production-grade integrations that unlock safe, rapid software and AI application delivery. Your focus will be helping organizations adopt LaunchDarkly's capabilities for controlled AI rollouts, safe experimentation with large language models, governance frameworks, and staged deployment of agent-based systems. Rather than simply advising from the sidelines, you'll code alongside customers, translating strategic vision into working systems that run in their production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Professional Services engagements helping customers align their software delivery and AI infrastructure with LaunchDarkly capabilities and industry best practices
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate feature management into applications powered by LLMs, agentic workflows, and custom AI platforms
  • Design and implement patterns for AI progressive rollout, safety mechanisms, kill switches, and experimentation with models and prompts, customizing approaches to each customer's technical context
  • Build reference implementations and production-ready prototypes that demonstrate AI delivery patterns and integrations
  • Instrument AI systems and inference workflows with LaunchDarkly, establishing monitoring and control points at critical decision layers
  • Support customers deploying chatbots, copilots, and autonomous systems by integrating feature management into runtime decision logic
  • Assess customer architectures, identify technical gaps, and propose practical solutions that fit their constraints and goals
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor to customer leadership and engineering teams throughout engagements
  • Troubleshoot implementation challenges and escalate complex technical issues when necessary
  • Contribute insights on emerging AI delivery patterns and relay customer needs back to product and engineering teams

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise software, infrastructure platforms, or solutions architecture roles
  • Proven ability to write, test, and deploy production-grade code in at least one modern language such as Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Go, or equivalent
  • Practical experience building or integrating AI-assisted development tools and understanding of tool-augmented or agent-based system design
  • Demonstrated expertise in modern DevOps, continuous integration and deployment, release strategies, and experimentation methodologies
  • Track record of successful delivery across full software development cycles in enterprise settings and leadership in platform or technology transitions
  • Working knowledge of how feature management and controlled experimentation reduce risk and accelerate time-to-market
  • Hands-on familiarity with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, plus Linux and containerization
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer engagements

Why Join LaunchDarkly

LaunchDarkly's Professional Services team stands out as industry-leading and is central to the company's growth strategy. You'll work with some of the world's most innovative organizations across technology, financial services, life sciences, and entertainment. LaunchDarkly's platform enables development teams to decouple deployment from release, making software delivery both faster and safer. By eliminating fear from the release process, teams can ship more frequently and experiment with confidence. Our Services organization is expanding rapidly and deeply resourced, giving you the opportunity to shape how enterprises approach safe, intelligent software delivery at scale.
