About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity services organization seeking experienced penetration testers to join their curated community of security professionals. This is a freelance, part-time position available to candidates located anywhere (excluding USA-based applicants, who should apply through a separate channel).

Our client maintains a selective community of skilled pentesters who collaborate on assessments for diverse clients. You'll work alongside peers who are passionate about offensive security and committed to staying current with the latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual penetration testing of web applications, APIs, internal and external networks, and mobile applications (iOS and Android)
• Work as part of a pentest team, collaborating directly with end clients during engagements
• Document assessment results, audits, tests, and verification activities in detail
• Conduct manual validation of vulnerabilities
• Test mobile and web applications for OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
• Contribute findings and knowledge to the broader security community

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of penetration testing or similar security assessment experience (mid-level)
• Deep understanding of application security principles and common vulnerability classes
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
• Strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge with peers
• Desire to maintain expert-level skills in offensive security
• Respectful, team-oriented approach to client engagements

Preferred certifications include: CREST, PenTest+, GPEN, CEH, OSCP, AWS, CISSP, eCPPT, eWAPT, OSCE, or OSWE
