Clinical Research Data Coordinator

Actalent is hiring a Clinical Research Data Coordinator in Detroit, Wayne County to join a dynamic hematology research team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in supporting clinical research operations through meticulous data management and coordination.

What This Role Involves

As a Clinical Research Data Coordinator at Actalent, you'll be the backbone of data management for a hematology-focused research program. You'll oversee the complete data journey—from initial collection within the electronic medical record system, through organization and quality assurance, to final submission and audit readiness. Working alongside physicians, nurses, regulatory specialists, and research analysts, you'll ensure that all clinical data maintains the highest standards of accuracy and compliance while meeting strict research timelines.

Responsibilities

• Extract and organize clinical data from electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Upload, validate, and maintain research databases with precision
• Resolve data queries and discrepancies with supporting clinical teams
• Prepare comprehensive audit documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate daily with clinical, nursing, data, and regulatory departments
• Monitor data quality, timeliness, and adherence to research protocols
• Respond to data requests from research stakeholders and external auditors

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot data inconsistencies
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams
• Proficiency with data management tools and databases
• Understanding of clinical research regulations and audit requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or healthcare experience preferred
