About the Role
As a Graduate Civil Engineer at Pennoni's Philadelphia office, you'll gain hands-on experience in site design and development projects. You'll work closely with senior engineers and project managers, supporting all phases of our projects from initial concept through completion. This role offers a dynamic introduction to professional civil engineering practice, with exposure to real-world site planning, regulatory compliance, and multi-discipline coordination.
What You'll Do
- Assist in preparing site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts for residential, commercial, and public development projects
- Support design calculations and coordinate technical drawings with other disciplines
- Conduct site visits and gather field data to inform design decisions
- Research applicable codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedules and quality standards are met
- Prepare technical documentation and correspondence for project files
- Learn and apply industry-standard design and CAD software
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (recent graduate or seeking entry-level role)
- Strong foundation in site design, hydrology, and engineering principles
- Proficiency with CAD and familiarity with design software
