Tricehealthcare is hiring a full-time COVID Sample Coordinator in Lenexa, Johnson County, to support on-site coronavirus testing across multiple community and workplace locations. This is a temporary, one-year position ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a hands-on, schedule-driven healthcare environment.
About the Role
As a Clinical and Health COVID Sample Coordinator, you will manage the collection, handling, and tracking of COVID test samples at designated sites throughout the Lenexa area and beyond. The role begins at 30 hours per week, with the opportunity to expand to 40 hours per week after October. Because testing takes place at rotating locations and time blocks, flexibility and reliable transportation are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct scheduled COVID testing at assigned sites across Lenexa and surrounding locations.
- Travel between multiple testing points, including community sites, building locations, and a partner farm site in Garnett, Kansas.
- Maintain accurate sample labeling, documentation, and chain-of-custody records.
- Follow strict CDC and clinical safety protocols during sample collection and handling.
- Adhere to a varied weekly schedule that spans afternoon and early-evening testing windows.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a clinical or health-related testing setting.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and recordkeeping accuracy.
- Dependable and able to commit to a rotating, location-based weekly schedule.
- Reliable transportation to travel between Lenexa-area sites and the Garnett, KS farm location.
- Willing to work on-site for the full one-year term of this temporary position.
