Our talent team is representing a confidential global climate-tech organization in their search for a Chief Technology Officer. This remote-based role in the United States offers the opportunity to lead technology strategy, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity for an organization driving innovative solutions at the intersection of data, digital media, and emerging technology.

This is a pivotal hire as our client expands their capabilities in AI-enabled systems, data analytics, and next-generation communications infrastructure. You'll report directly to the CEO and own end-to-end technology leadership spanning product engineering, IT infrastructure, and corporate cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall technology strategy, cloud infrastructure, and technical execution for the organization's core SaaS platform
  • Manage enterprise technology budget including software licensing, infrastructure procurement, hardware lifecycles, and vendor contracts
  • Partner with executive leadership to bring new products from beta to market launch while managing technical debt
  • Advise CEO and Board of Directors on enterprise technical risk, disaster recovery, business continuity, and cyber resilience
  • Lead corporate IT operations including endpoint management, automated provisioning/deprovisioning, and multi-tier helpdesk support
  • Administer enterprise productivity suites and communication architectures with zero-trust access controls and SSO
  • Oversee business system infrastructure ensuring high uptime and integration security
  • Lead organization-wide information security initiatives across endpoints, networks, and SaaS tools
  • Establish and audit comprehensive IT policies including acceptable use, IAM, data loss prevention, and offboarding protocols
  • Enforce compliance and audit readiness (SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, ISO 27001) in collaboration with Legal, HR, and Finance
  • Evaluate alpha projects and proofs of concept, integrating them into core platform or architecting as standalone scalable services
  • Directly manage the Chief Product, Engineering, and Data Officer, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, data strategy, and security standards
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing, service-oriented IT and security team

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in roles such as Director of IT, Head of IT/Operations Technology, VP of IT, or CTO
  • Demonstrated experience running enterprise IT stacks, zero-trust architectures, IAM, and automated endpoint management
  • Experience driving CapEx/OpEx strategies for corporate IT including SaaS license management, hardware procurement, and vendor governance
  • Proven track record leading enterprise security operations and successfully navigating SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 audit cycles
  • Expertise architecting, securing, and administering enterprise collaboration platforms and workplace productivity suites
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff, executives, and Board members
  • Proven track record building and leading technical staff across diverse areas of expertise
  • Experience building or scaling an internal IT function through organizational growth

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $220,000–$230,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our client also offers comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance (95-100% employer-paid premiums), 2-4 weeks paid vacation, 13 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays, 10 days paid sick leave, 403(b) with 3% employer contribution, education reimbursement up to $1,500 annually, $200/month stipend, 8 weeks paid sabbatical after 5 years, and 8 weeks paid parental leave.
