Chief of Staff – Stragegie & Operations (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential facility services organization based in Berlin, seeking a strategic Chief of Staff to work directly with executive leadership. In this role, you will serve as a central communication and coordination hub between senior management and department heads, translating strategic priorities into concrete goals, projects, and measurable actions.

You will oversee company-wide initiatives, ensuring clear accountability, KPIs, and deadlines are established and met. You'll facilitate regular management and performance reviews with responsible leaders, creating transparency across all business areas through management reports, analyses, and decision-support documentation.

Your responsibilities include identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks, then developing practical solutions in collaboration with functional teams. You will drive process standardization, digitalization, and continuous improvement, ensuring structures remain efficient and scalable as the organization grows.

As a strategic sparring partner to executive leadership, you'll constructively challenge existing approaches while bringing an enterprise-wide perspective to critical decisions. You'll take ownership of selected strategic special projects from conception through implementation, ensuring decisions translate into concrete actions and actions produce measurable results.

What We're Looking For

• Completed university degree, ideally in business administration, economics, management, law, or comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in a strategic or operational steering role—for example, in operations, management consulting, business development, project/program management, or as Chief of Staff
• Strong understanding of business relationships, processes, and operational value drivers
• Excellent analytical capabilities with the ability to quickly structure complex situations and reduce them to essential points
• Experience working with KPIs, performance management, and reporting
• Strong communication and influence skills, particularly when engaging with senior leaders
• Ability to bring together different perspectives while consistently driving toward decisions and results
• High degree of personal accountability, pragmatism, and hands-on mentality
• Proficiency with Excel and data-based analysis
• Experience in a dynamic growth environment is advantageous
• Background in facility management or comparable operational service industry is a plus but not required
• German language fluency required for this Berlin-based position
