Chargé(e) d’affaires – Assurance Crédit

Coface is seeking a Chargé(e) d'affaires - Assurance Crédit to join our commercial team in Douala, Région du Littoral, CM. This is a full-time remote position offering the opportunity to develop business relationships and drive sales within our credit insurance operations.

What This Role Involves

As a Chargé(e) d'affaires - Assurance Crédit, you will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships while identifying opportunities for business growth in credit insurance. Your focus will be on account management, sales support, and ensuring clients receive expert guidance on credit risk solutions tailored to their commercial needs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients in your assigned territory
• Identify business development opportunities within the credit insurance and trade finance sectors
• Prepare customised insurance proposals and present solutions addressing client risk profiles
• Guide clients through the application process and policy negotiation stages
• Monitor account performance and respond promptly to client needs and queries
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth policy administration and service delivery
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and maintain compliance documentation

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in commercial sales, account management, or business development—insurance or financial services preferred
• Working knowledge of credit insurance, trade credit, or commercial risk assessment
• Fluent in French and English with strong written and spoken communication skills
• Proven ability to build lasting professional relationships and close sales
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• Comfortable operating independently and meeting targets in a remote working environment
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and standard office software
