The Coordinated Entry System (CES) is Orange County's centralized approach to identifying and matching people experiencing homelessness with appropriate housing interventions. You'll manage this critical function by partnering with the County of Orange, HMIS agencies, housing providers, and service organizations to ensure equitable and transparent access to housing resources for people in crisis.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate across Orange County's homeless services network—partner with the CES Lead Agency, HMIS participating organizations, housing providers, and service agencies
- Verify assessment and prioritization processes to ensure clients are accurately evaluated and matched
- Facilitate weekly match meetings that connect individuals and families to available housing opportunities while maintaining clear stakeholder communication
- Develop monthly CES reports and performance dashboards that track outcomes and inform strategic decisions
- Contribute to the development and refinement of CES policies, procedures, training programs, and technical assistance resources
- Provide team leadership under program manager supervision to maintain service continuity and align organizational resources with community partners
- Model and uphold organizational standards across all internal and external partnerships
- Respond to emergency situations and urgent calls as required by contract obligations and organizational needs

Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum: One year of direct experience in homeless services
- Preferred: Two or more years in homeless services; hands-on experience with HMIS systems or nonprofit administration in HUD-funded programs; bachelor's degree in community development, social work, public administration, urban planning, human services, or a closely related field
- Required: U.S. employment eligibility, valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance (driving is an essential job function), ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, and willingness to complete tuberculosis screening, background check, and drug screening

We connect an average of 23 people per week to stable housing. Our integrated service model spans street outreach, employment preparation, case management, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. We prioritize racial and social equity in all we do, partnering with communities and policymakers to address root causes of homelessness.
Position Details: Full-time, non-exempt role based in Orange County, California. This position is not remote; all work must be performed within the state. Salary ranges from $24.78 to $30.20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, and a retirement plan.
