Position Summary
Dollar General Fleet is building out its dedicated fleet and looking for professional Class A CDL drivers to support our rapid expansion. In this regional driving role, you'll operate modern equipment on steady home-weekly routes, moving freight between our distribution centers and thousands of Dollar General locations. This is a full-time position designed for drivers who prioritize reliability and want predictable schedules that keep you close to home.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned regional routes
- Safely transport freight and merchandise from distribution centers to Dollar General retail locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Meet delivery schedules while adhering to all DOT and safety regulations
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse staff, and store teams
- Support the company's growth into new market areas across the region
Who We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and follow company procedures
