About the Role
As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco, you'll operate a tractor-trailer on assigned routes, delivering a variety of food service products—meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations throughout your service area. You'll combine safe, efficient operations with excellent customer service, building strong relationships that keep Sysco's customers coming back.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Load, unload, and deliver food service products to assigned customer locations
- Execute your assigned delivery route efficiently, managing customer delivery windows and schedules
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional, courteous service
- Maintain detailed delivery records and perform vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Meet deadlines while prioritizing safety in all driving and delivery operations
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating tractor-trailers in local delivery or similar roles
- Physical capability to safely load, unload, and manually deliver products
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety
- Ability to work full-time hours consistent with delivery operations
