About the Role
As an Owner Operator for Nayhoose Logistics, you'll manage your own tractor and operate independent long-haul routes. This position combines the autonomy and earning potential of owner-operator status with the support of an established logistics carrier. You'll own the responsibility for equipment maintenance, DOT compliance, safety standards, and route execution across our service territory.
What You'll Do
- Operate your tractor on over-the-road dry van routes, managing your own schedule
- Maintain full responsibility for vehicle upkeep, repairs, and pre- and post-trip inspections
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all DOT regulations, Hours of Service rules, and safety protocols
- Maintain professional communication with dispatchers regarding load assignments and delivery status
- Track operational expenses and fuel efficiency to optimize profitability as an independent operator
- Respond to and resolve mechanical and logistical issues in a timely manner
What We're Looking For
- Current CDL-A license with a strong driving record and verifiable over-the-road experience
- Ownership or financing of a well-maintained tractor appropriate for long-haul dry van operations
- Solid mechanical knowledge and personal commitment to vehicle maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with discipline and professionalism
- Valid DOT medical certificate and clear background check
