U.S. Xpress is actively recruiting experienced CDL-A drivers for over-the-road positions based in Lake Mohee, Blackford County. If you hold a current Class A commercial driver's license and have 1-5 months of professional trucking experience, we want you to apply for this full-time, long-haul opportunity.
About the Role
As a CDL-A company driver with U.S. Xpress, you'll operate dry van trailers on dedicated long-haul routes across the United States. This is an over-the-road position with regular dispatch schedules and strong earning potential for drivers at every experience level.
What You'll Do
- Operate company-maintained dry van equipment on assigned over-the-road routes
- Run a typical 12-day out/2-day home cycle
- Accumulate approximately 2,000 miles per week on average
- Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Deliver freight safely, on-time, and in compliance with federal regulations
- Maintain accurate logbooks and required operational documentation
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 1 to 5 months of documented truck driving experience
- Acceptable driving record meeting company standards
- Ability to pass DOT medical certification and background screening
- Dedication to safety, compliance, and professional standards
Compensation & Benefits
Solo drivers earn 57-64 cents per mile based on experience, with top performers in our fleet reaching $1,700 weekly. We guarantee a minimum weekly pay of $1,500 on our standard 12-out/2-home schedule, plus a $4,000 sign-on bonus to start your career with us.
Team driving opportunities are also available, offering $5,000 sign-on bonuses (split between partners) and higher mileage potential with averages around 5,000 miles per week. Team drivers earn $0.72-$0.80 per mile split. If you don't have a team partner, we can help connect you with one.
