Category Management Werkstudent (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client seeking a Category Management Working Student to support their operations team. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone, using logical thinking and automation tools to optimize daily processes across multiple regions.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Product Creation & Onboarding: Create and configure new products in the system, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and ready for customers from day one.
• Tool Support & Validation: Support the implementation and use of automation tools. Act as a quality control checkpoint, critically reviewing processes and validating system outputs for accuracy.
• Product Performance Monitoring: Track sales and inventory anomalies. When high-priority items show unusual patterns or availability issues, investigate root causes to maximize digital shelf performance.
• Content & Storefront Optimization: Respond quickly to incomplete product presentations that hinder sales by resolving missing product photos or incomplete information in the application.
• Supply Chain & Inbound Coordination: Support the team with daily commercial supply chain questions and resolve product delivery issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide strong operational support across various priority levels, working closely with category, brand, and cross-functional teams to balance daily tasks effectively.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a comparable field.
• Sharp attention to detail, strong logical reasoning, and natural curiosity to look behind the scenes and solve operational puzzles.
• Excellent organizational skills, proactive attitude toward taking ownership, and comfort managing daily workflows.
• Genuine affinity for the food/grocery industry and enthusiasm for working with new software systems.
• Availability to support the team for 16-20 hours per week.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
• Based in or able to work from Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia.
