Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Cafe Supervisor to lead daily operations at our Apron Cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth running of the establishment. In this supervisory role, you'll take ownership of team performance, customer satisfaction, and operational standards, reporting directly to management. This is a hands-on position where you'll work alongside your team while maintaining the highest levels of service and professionalism.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor cafe staff, ensuring excellent customer service delivery at all times
• Manage cash handling, till operations, and financial reconciliation throughout service periods
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with relevant legislation and company procedures
• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently
• Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational demands
• Train new team members on procedures, products, and customer service standards
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any service issues professionally
• Keep the cafe environment clean, organised, and welcoming for customers and staff

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in hospitality, food service, or a similar customer-facing environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
• Problem-solving ability and flexibility in a fast-paced setting
