About the Role

Join Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems (SEWS) as a Business Planner II and support critical planning initiatives across our Farmington Hills operations. Your fluency in Japanese and English will be essential for coordinating between international headquarters and domestic teams, while your analytical expertise drives strategic business decisions and operational alignment.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage comprehensive business plans that align with company strategy and market dynamics
• Analyze business metrics, performance trends, and market data to inform planning recommendations
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support operational planning and execution
• Bridge communication between Japanese leadership and US-based teams through fluent bilingual coordination
• Create reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to forecasting, budget development, and resource allocation processes
• Support strategic initiatives connecting North American operations with global company objectives

What We're Looking For

• Professional bilingual fluency in Japanese and English—proficiency in speaking, reading, and written communication
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, planning, economics, or related discipline
• 2+ years of professional experience in business planning, financial planning, business analysis, or equivalent roles
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of business software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with attention to detail
