Superintendent / Maintenance

Sumitomo Electric Group seeks an experienced Superintendent / Maintenance professional for our El Paso, El Paso County facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead maintenance operations, manage a dedicated team, and drive operational excellence across our manufacturing environment.

About the Role

In this Superintendent / Maintenance role with Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc., you'll own building administration and maintenance operations at our El Paso location. You'll guide the team in executing continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining the highest safety standards, and raising the operational maturity of our facilities across all locations.

What You'll Do

• Supervise a team of four associates and warehouse operations staff on daily activities and professional development
• Establish and enforce building safety protocols, ensuring all personnel follow established safety procedures
• Lead continuous improvement projects within the MP&L group, identifying efficiencies and implementing solutions
• Partner with the CRS and operations teams to introduce new tools and methodologies that strengthen processes
• Monitor facility conditions and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Work cross-functionally to raise standards and enhance the operational maturity of the organization
• Document maintenance metrics and facility performance to track improvements over time

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing maintenance operations or building administration functions
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team toward performance goals
• Strong knowledge of facility safety standards and occupational compliance requirements
• Background with continuous improvement frameworks or process optimization
• Clear communication skills and collaboration across multiple departments
• Proficiency with maintenance systems and warehouse operations preferred
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety consciousness
