Tool Room – Mold Technician (Continental C Shift, 7pm – 7am)

About the Role

Polytainers manufactures injection molded plastic food containers, and our Molding department depends on skilled technicians to keep production flowing. As a Mold Technician in the Tool Room, you will report directly to the Tool Room Manager and play a hands-on part in maintaining mold performance, supporting changeovers, and resolving issues as they arise during each overnight shift. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Lees Summit, Jackson County facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out product changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime on the production floor
• Respond to and troubleshoot mold-related problems while machines are actively running
• Prepare and stage molds ahead of scheduled mold changes
• Clean, inspect, and ready molds so they are production-ready for upcoming jobs
• Work closely with the Tool Room Manager and molding team to keep operations on track during the C Shift

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with molds, tooling, or injection molding equipment
• Comfort working a Continental C Shift schedule from 7pm to 7am
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical, problem-solving approach
• Ability to work safely and reliably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to support production needs as they happen
