Position Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business development and cultivating strong customer relationships. This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to deliver tailored process solutions across multiple industries. The BDM identifies and secures new business opportunities, manages a sales pipeline from prospecting through close, maximizes penetration of existing accounts, and provides expert-level product and application knowledge. Reporting to the CEO, the BDM collaborates with internal teams and Production Manager to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in manufacturing sectors.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships and manage a multi-million-dollar book of business.
- Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through close, ensuring timely and effective follow-up on leads.
- Maximize penetration of existing accounts by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Provide expert-level product and application knowledge to customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams and Production Manager to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth.
