About This Position
The Business Development Manager is tasked with driving profitable commercial growth and managing projects from opportunity to closeout. Key responsibilities include developing new customers, strengthening key accounts, building relationships with various stakeholders, maintaining a sales pipeline, preparing estimates, bids, and proposals, scheduling installations, coordinating project activities, and ensuring timely billing and closure.
Your Responsibilities
- Developing and nurturing new commercial customer relationships and existing key accounts
- Building connections with builders, contractors, property managers, general contractors, and commercial clients through networking events and industry participation
- Maintaining a robust sales pipeline and proactively communicating risks and opportunities
- Preparing accurate commercial estimates, bids, and proposals by reviewing project scope, labor requirements, material needs, pricing, and margins
- Tracking open bids and following up consistently until the opportunity is won, lost, or intentionally closed
- Maintaining bid logs, proposal trackers, and sales forecasts for future reference
- Scheduling commercial installations using company software and coordinating with operations leadership, service management, project supervisors, field crews, and customers to confirm labor, materials, timelines, and customer expectations
