Takeda is seeking a dedicated Biolife Phlebotomist to join our clinical team in Janesville, Wisconsin. As a full-time member of our healthcare operations, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clinical services and contributing directly to our mission of advancing patient care.

What This Role Involves

As a Biolife Phlebotomist at our Janesville facility, you'll be responsible for safely and accurately collecting blood samples from patients while maintaining a professional, compassionate approach to patient interactions. This position requires precise technical execution, adherence to strict safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. You'll be an essential part of our laboratory operations, ensuring that every specimen is collected with the highest standards of quality and sterility.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients using proper venipuncture techniques and safety protocols
• Verify patient identity and confirm collection requirements before each draw
• Label and process specimens according to established laboratory standards
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all sample collections
• Clean and maintain all phlebotomy equipment and collection stations
• Respond professionally and compassionately to patient concerns and questions
• Follow infection control procedures and OSHA guidelines at all times
• Assist with inventory management of collection supplies and equipment

What We're Looking For

• Certified phlebotomy technician or equivalent qualification
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
• Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
• Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented professional demeanor
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
