Biolife Phlebotomist

About the Role

As a Biolife Phlebotomist, you will be at the front line of our blood collection operations, serving patients who depend on our services. You'll perform venipuncture and other blood collection techniques, maintain strict infection control standards, and ensure every patient receives compassionate, professional care. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using appropriate techniques and equipment according to established protocols
• Verify patient identity and gather required medical information accurately
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collections and patient interactions
• Educate patients on the collection process and address their questions or concerns
• Clean and sanitize work areas following strict infection control procedures
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification or willingness to obtain certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently with diverse populations in a fast-paced environment
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following all regulatory requirements
