About the Role

As a Bilingual Interpreter (Spanish) for the Office of Special Education, you will serve as a vital bridge between English-speaking educators and Spanish-speaking families and students. Working from the Administration Building, you will facilitate clear communication during Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, parent conferences, and classroom instruction to ensure equitable access to special education services.

What You'll Do

  • Interpret and translate during IEP meetings, staffings, and parent-teacher conferences with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
  • Provide linguistic support in classroom and therapy settings to help students understand instruction and classroom expectations
  • Translate written documents including letters, notices, and educational materials for Spanish-speaking families
  • Facilitate communication between school staff, students, parents, and external service providers
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all district policies regarding student information
  • Assist with intake meetings and assessments when bilingual interpretation is required
