About the Role
As a Behavior Technician (BT) with Progressive Option Support Services, you'll deliver direct, individualized behavior intervention support to children with autism in their home environments. Working under the supervision of experienced clinicians, you'll implement behavior plans, collect meaningful data on client progress, and create the structured, supportive interactions that help children learn and families thrive. This is in-home, part-time work in Passaic County that makes a measurable difference every day.
What You'll Do
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by your clinical supervisor
- Work directly with children on communication, social, and daily living skills
- Collect precise behavioral data and track client progress during sessions
- Provide consistent, positive reinforcement and prompt appropriate behaviors
- Communicate session updates and observations to your supervisor and clinical team
- Maintain safe, structured learning environments in clients' homes
- Collaborate with families to reinforce skills and support overall progress
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Genuine interest in working with children and commitment to their development
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to follow detailed behavior plans and respond appropriately to client needs
- Reliable transportation for in-home visits throughout Passaic County
- Patience, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to work toward RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification is a plus
