Backend Developer Datenmigration (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software organization based in Regensburg, Germany, seeking a Backend Developer specializing in data migration. Our client works with enterprise wiki and content management solutions, helping organizations transition smoothly between platforms.

This role focuses on executing complex data migrations, ensuring data quality, and working directly with end users throughout the migration lifecycle. You'll combine technical expertise in backend development with customer-facing project work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute data migrations from various wiki and content management systems
• Analyze customer data structures and ensure high data quality throughout migration processes
• Guide clients through the entire migration journey, from initial planning to successful handover
• Document project insights systematically and derive concrete improvement measures
• Collaborate closely with development and product management teams to continuously enhance migration scripts and tooling

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Management, or comparable qualification
• At least three years of professional experience in data migration, system integration, or comparable IT projects
• Strong PHP programming skills with proven application in project environments
• Experience working with complex data structures and script development (Python or PowerShell)
• Ideally, familiarity with enterprise wiki platforms and common content management systems
• Experience implementing software projects and comfort working in project-oriented environments
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• High customer orientation with enjoyment of direct collaboration with end users
• Interest in continuous professional development
• Very good German language skills at C1 level; good English skills at minimum B2 level, both written and spoken

Location: Regensburg, Germany
Work Model: Hybrid with option for two days home office per week
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position
