Weir is hiring a Full Time Ayudante General/Técnico en Elastómeros (General Assistant/Elastomers Technician) at our Cananea facility. Join our operations team and contribute to the production and quality assurance of advanced elastomer materials and components.

About This Position

In this hands-on technical support role, you'll work within our elastomers manufacturing operation in Cananea, supporting production processes and ensuring materials meet our quality standards. You'll gain practical experience in polymer processing, material handling, and technical operations while working alongside experienced team members. Core Duties

• Prepare, mix, and process elastomer materials according to production specifications and standard operating procedures
• Assist with loading, monitoring, and unloading production equipment during manufacturing cycles
• Conduct routine quality inspections and material tests, recording data and flagging any deviations from specifications
• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and material tracking systems
• Clean, maintain, and perform basic preventative care on equipment and work areas
• Support safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with production supervisors and senior technicians to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or technical certification (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions precisely
• Basic understanding of chemical or manufacturing processes, or willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in measurements and documentation
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work in an industrial environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Spanish and English language skills preferred
