Associate Manager, Client Services

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking an Associate Manager, Client Services to lead client engagements for a pharmaceutical cost and coverage platform. This role combines project management, strategic consulting, and team leadership, working directly with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients to deliver solutions from concept through launch.

This position is based in the USA with remote flexibility, requiring proximity to either Indianapolis or the Northeast United States. Please note: This role cannot provide visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end client projects including both internal and external resources in the design, development, and delivery of solutions
• Serve as the key point of contact with clients, managing proposal preparation, modifications, and ensuring overall engagement integrity
• Leverage business acumen to identify strategic alternatives and approaches to complex client questions in the pharmaceutical managed markets space
• Mentor and coach analysts and consultants, sharing subject matter expertise to elevate team capabilities
• Provide direction and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams through consistent participation in project meetings
• Develop and deliver client presentations, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations throughout projects
• Proactively identify business development opportunities and coordinate follow-up efforts
• Ensure client satisfaction through post-project follow-up and relationship management
• Lead ad hoc work streams on critical operational issues including recruitment and team development
• Travel 15-50% of the time depending on project assignments

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA preferred
• 4+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, managed markets consulting, or managed markets agency work
• Broad-based experience across sales, managed care, marketing, and/or managed care analytics
• Demonstrated experience within commercial strategy
• Proven ability to lead and influence multi-disciplinary teams
• Track record of understanding client needs, incorporating feedback into deliverables, and ensuring implementation of recommendations
• Experience developing credible relationships with senior-level managers and executives in pharmaceutical and healthcare industries

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software
• Working knowledge of relational database technology and data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, Tableau, and PowerBI
• Broad understanding of contracts and key business levers in managed markets
• Ability to contribute to business development through proposal development and knowledge of consulting methodologies in pharmaceutical and healthcare industries

Pay

Our client has indicated a compensation range of $95,000–$115,000 USD for this position, which will be determined based on your specific experience, skills, and location. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life and disability insurance, parental leave, and paid time off.
