About This Position

As Associate Director, Product Management at Spgi in London, UK, you will take ownership of product strategy while ensuring alignment with broader business priorities. The position requires full-time presence and centres on end-to-end product leadership, including prioritising features, guiding cross-functional partners and translating market insights into actionable plans. Day-to-day work involves balancing stakeholder needs, refining product vision and supporting continuous improvement across the product suite. Successful candidates will help define roadmaps that respond to customer challenges and competitive pressures, maintaining a clear focus on measurable outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

• Shape multi-year product roadmaps and communicate priorities clearly to engineering, design and commercial teams
• Lead discovery work, synthesise customer feedback and convert insights into feature definitions and release plans
• Own the full product lifecycle from concept validation through launch, iteration and eventual retirement
• Coordinate with finance and operations stakeholders to model business cases and track product performance metrics
• Mentor product managers, establish best practices and foster a culture of data-informed decision making
• Represent the product organisation in leadership forums, presenting progress against key results and proposing course corrections
• Monitor industry developments and competitive activity, ensuring the product portfolio stays relevant and differentiated

Qualifications

• Substantial product management experience, ideally including leadership of complex digital or service products
• Demonstrated ability to set strategy, influence senior stakeholders and deliver results through matrixed teams
• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in using quantitative and qualitative data to guide prioritisation
• Excellent communication skills for articulating vision, writing clear requirements and facilitating workshops
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as business, computer science or a related field; further study is advantageous
• Familiarity with agile delivery methods and modern product tooling
• Track record of mentoring junior product talent and raising the standard of product practice
