Lynchburg City Schools is seeking a part-time Adult Education Teacher to join the Adult Learning Center at Amelia Pride in Lynchburg, Lynchburg City. This grant-funded, hourly role offers a meaningful opportunity to help adult learners build the skills they need to advance their education and careers.
About the Role
As an Adult Education Teacher with Lynchburg City Schools, you will deliver instruction to adult students through the Adult Learning Center/Amelia Pride program. This is a part-time position scheduled for 12 to 16 hours per week, classified as Non-Exempt under FLSA, and compensated at $30 per hour through grant funding. The teacher reports directly to the Adult Center Coordinator and the Student Services Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, learner-centered instruction to adult students at the Adult Learning Center/Amelia Pride.
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs and goals of adult learners.
- Monitor student progress and offer guidance that supports educational and career advancement.
- Maintain accurate records consistent with program and grant requirements.
- Coordinate with the Adult Center Coordinator and Student Services Director on program objectives.
