About the Role
As a Custodian with Barnwell County Consolidated School District, you will be a vital member of the Operations and Maintenance team, reporting directly to the school Principal. This is a non-exempt, full-time, on-site position based in Williston, Barnwell County. Your work ensures that students, staff, and visitors enjoy buildings and grounds that are tidy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep school buildings, classrooms, hallways, and surrounding grounds clean, orderly, and presentable.
- Help provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient setting that supports student learning and activity.
- Carry out routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and removing trash.
- Maintain the appearance and upkeep of interior spaces and exterior premises.
- Support general operations and maintenance tasks as directed by the Principal.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical custodial and maintenance work throughout a full shift.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness, safety, and reliability.
- Capacity to work independently and follow established cleaning and safety procedures.
- A dependable, team-oriented approach to serving students and staff.
