Accounting Representative – AP and Property Accounting

Join Esri as an Accounting Representative supporting our Accounts Payable and Property Accounting operations at our Redlands, California headquarters. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage vendor invoicing and accounting processes in a collaborative, fast-paced workplace on our beautiful campus.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our Accounting Department and play a vital role in our financial operations. You'll work onsite in Redlands with a skilled accounting team, managing vendor relationships and invoice processing while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. This role combines technical proficiency with strong customer service—both with internal teams and external vendors.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough reviews of vendor invoices to verify proper documentation and secure approvals before processing payments
• Execute invoice payments through multiple payment methods including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments
• Perform purchase order matching and reconciliation within our SAP ERP system, identifying and resolving vendor statement variances and overpayments
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records and documentation in accordance with company policies and standard accounting principles
• Address inquiries from internal colleagues and external partners through shared communication channels
• Contribute to department operations by taking on flexible projects as team priorities evolve

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in accounting support, accounting operations, or a related accounting role
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality while processing financial data at volume
• Proven capability to organize workload, prioritize competing tasks, and reliably meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills—written and verbal—across email, phone, and Teams; comfortable multitasking in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and confidence learning new software platforms
• Ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
• Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check, which may include a credit check where legally permitted
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications: Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute; prior experience with SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning software; background in high-transaction-volume accounts payable environments.
