About the Role
As an Accessibility Web Developer II at Esri, you'll take ownership of accessibility across the ArcGIS Enterprise platform. You'll partner with designers, developers, and product teams to ensure every interaction—from navigation to complex workflows—meets accessibility standards and serves users of all abilities. Your work spans the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design through testing and deployment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain web applications within the ArcGIS Enterprise ecosystem with accessibility as a core requirement
- Identify and remediate accessibility gaps in existing features and interfaces
- Conduct accessibility testing and code reviews to ensure compliance with WCAG and Section 508 standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessible design patterns and best practices into development workflows
- Document accessibility requirements and solutions for consistency across the platform
- Stay current with web accessibility standards, technologies, and techniques
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Demonstrated expertise in web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508)
- Experience building or maintaining enterprise web applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Experience with ArcGIS or GIS applications is a plus
