West Congress Insurance Services is seeking a full-time Account Executive based in the United States to develop new business in the specialty insurance market. You'll manage client relationships and drive growth in surplus and excess lines insurance across the country.
Position Summary
This role offers the opportunity to build a strong pipeline of new business while maintaining key client relationships in a dynamic, growing specialty insurance firm. As an Account Executive, you'll contribute to the company's expansion through direct business development and consultative selling in the surplus and excess general liability insurance space.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the specialty insurance and surplus lines market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers
- Manage your sales pipeline and work toward quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and presentations based on client requirements
- Collaborate with underwriting and claims administration teams to ensure quality client service
- Navigate complex coverage requirements and provide effective solutions for general liability and excess insurance needs
What We're Looking For
- Professional sales experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or B2B environments
- Proven ability to identify, pursue, and successfully close new business
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Familiarity with insurance terminology and industry practices, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
- Target-driven mindset with a track record of achieving sales goals
- Proficiency with CRM systems and modern sales tools
