About the Role
This full‑time position reports to the maintenance supervisor and supports the hospitality group’s commitment to guest safety and comfort. The engineer is responsible for executing the preventative maintenance program, addressing work orders, and ensuring all fire and safety systems meet regulatory standards.
What You'll Do
- Conduct regular fire and safety inspections, documenting findings and correcting any deficiencies promptly.
- Execute the preventative maintenance schedule for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life‑safety systems, completing associated work orders on time.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff, diagnosing issues and performing repairs or coordinating with specialized vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts inventory in the maintenance management system.
- Participate in safety and security training sessions and apply learned procedures to daily tasks.
- Communicate clearly with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operation of facility services.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring consistent compliance in every maintenance task.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in facilities maintenance or a related trade is a plus.
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs in a hotel, hospitality, or commercial environment.
- Solid understanding of fire safety codes, inspection procedures, and basic electrical/HVAC/plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and timely completion of tasks.
- Effective communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging work and accessing training materials.
