About This Position

We're seeking a bilingual educator to lead a 2nd grade classroom where students gain confidence in literacy, numeracy, science, and critical thinking across two languages. You'll create a welcoming, academically rigorous environment where each student finds success and discovers their strengths as a learner. Qualified candidates receive a $7,500 stipend.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and deliver standards-aligned lessons in literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies using bilingual instructional methods
• Monitor student learning through formative and summative assessments, adjusting instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles
• Build a classroom culture of mutual respect, cultural pride, and inclusive community
• Connect with families through regular progress updates and communication in English and Spanish
• Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum planning, school initiatives, and professional development
• Maintain detailed records, organize classroom materials, and create a nurturing physical learning environment
• Support each student's growth across academic, social, emotional, and physical development

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas elementary teaching certificate with bilingual endorsement or qualifying alternative credential
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish—speaking, reading, and writing fluently
• Demonstrated classroom management and instructional organization abilities
• Experience differentiat­ing teaching for students with varying backgrounds and learning needs
• Knowledge of bilingual education best practices and culturally sustaining pedagogy
• Genuine commitment to student success and ongoing professional growth
