1:1 Teacher Aide Part Time

West Irondequoit Central School District seeks a dedicated 1:1 Teacher Aide for a Rochester-area school, providing individualized student support to students who benefit from consistent, one-on-one assistance at Irondequoit High School.

About the Role

This is a part-time position offering 5.75 hours daily, Monday through Friday, across a 10-month calendar aligned with the secondary school year. You'll work directly with individual students who require sustained one-on-one academic and behavioral support throughout the school day.

What You'll Do

• Provide tailored academic support aligned with each student's individual learning goals and needs
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and skill reinforcement under teacher supervision
• Reinforce instructional concepts and monitor student progress on assigned classroom and independent tasks
• Support positive behavior management and social-emotional skill development
• Communicate regularly with teachers and families regarding student progress and needs
• Maintain confidentiality and contribute to an inclusive, welcoming school environment

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated patience, reliability, and genuine commitment to student success
• Ability to follow teacher direction and collaborate effectively with school staff
• Strong communication skills and capacity to build positive relationships with students
• Experience working with students in educational or support settings (preferred)
• Flexibility and responsiveness to changing student and classroom needs
