About the Role
This is a full-time, over-the-road position hauling dry van freight for U.S. Xpress - OTR. You'll run consistent long-haul lanes while choosing the home-time schedule that fits your life. Solo drivers average roughly 2,000 miles each week, and the top 20% of our OTR drivers earn $1,600 weekly. Pay ranges from 56 to 60 cents per mile depending on your experience, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for solo company drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer hauling dry van loads on over-the-road routes
- Complete on-time pickups and deliveries across assigned long-haul lanes
- Maintain accurate logs and follow all DOT and federal safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep equipment road-ready
- Communicate with dispatch to coordinate miles and home time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 1-5 months of verifiable driving experience
- Willingness to run over-the-road dry van freight
- Clean driving record and commitment to safe operation
